ERC Advanced Grant: SYNCPOL – Synchronized Politics: Multiple Times and Political Power
Synchronization of policymakers in multi-level Europe; migration and asylum law and policy in the EU; public administration; street-level bureaucracy
Vita
Radu obtained his doctorate in 2021 from the University of Twente, where he examined the bureaucratic implementation of EU asylum policy at the national level. Previously, in 2011, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Florida State University and in 2013, a Master’s degree in International Affairs from the same institution. In 2015, he completed the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s program in International Migration and Social Cohesion at the University of Amsterdam, the University of Deusto, and the University of Osnabrück.
Radu’s research interests lie at the intersection of asylum law and policy in the European Union and ‘street-level’ bureaucracy.
